My parents are 1st-gen Americans: my Mom from Europe and my Dad from Asia; my last name is an unhyphenated union of theirs. They met while doing their PhDs at Berkeley. I'm proud to be from an international yet distinctly American family.

I mostly grew up in Seattle and went to university in California. Post-grad, I've been in New York, with stints in Paris and the West Coast.

Early Career

Inspired by early Apple propoganda, I decided to start a prediction platform in middle school. I ran it through high school and loved connecting with people from around the world.

After years of pestering Snap leadership, during university I got an internship in their Santa Monica HQ. I returned full-time as an iOS engineer in the New York office, where I was lucky to work with and befriend many ultra-talented people.

Two years in, I took the chance to join a prototyping team for the AI/ML org at Apple. As a kid, I fell in love with technology because of craft, not the ones and zeroes.

After a brief stint at Facebook, I co-founded Raycaster, a YC-backed company to accelerate commercial life science teams, based in New York. My co-founder Levi is still fighting the good fight (and killing it).

Current Work

Well-known research lab.
